Winter Skincare & Autumn Colour using Crème Cosmetics

The cooler weather is upon us so it’s time to start thinking about adjusting your skincare routine and makeup products. With a few small adjustments to your product rotation you can protect you skin and maintain a healthy glow all winter long.
Balance, Hydrate and Protect
Cold air isn’t kind to skin and our skin often takes some time to adjust to the change in temperature. Help support winter skin and keep any dryness or irritation at bay by adding a mist as your first, post cleansing step. VENN have recently released their Synbiotic Defence Mist and it’s a dream! Mists are also great to use before your serums because they’ll make sure your skin is getting the absolute most out of what you put on next. I’ve been using the VENN Age-response Compound K Hyaluronic Booster to deliver some serious anti-aging and brightening properties alongside lots of hydration. This serum is supercharged with one of VENN’s patented ingredients that is as powerful as Vitamin C but without the oxidation and sensitisation problems that some people can experience with some types of Vitamin C. Cheat Glow with Crème Makeup Products
For a lot of people cream products can be intimidating because typically we’re using to powders, but creams are VERY easy to use. I promise! As you’ll see in the video they blend out so easily and give a natural glow with a beautiful flush of colour.

I started with the AU NATURALE Zero Gravity Cream to Powder foundation. Use the shade finder to be matched with your perfect shade. Use the stick to apply and then a brush or your fingers to build a flawless base with as little or as much cover as you need.
The other great things about creams is that they are very multi-use. I used the All-glowing Creme Highlighter in the shade “Rose Gold” as an eyeshadow but it also works as a blush. If you’re a deeper skin tone than me you could possibly use this as a cheek highlighter. The Creme de la Creme Eye Shadow in the shade “Ivory” works great for me as a cheek highlight but I also like to use it as a brow bone and inner corner highlight. It’s also lovely as a wash all over the eye on its own for a no-makeup look.
Some cream colours like the Anywhere Creme Multi-stick in the shade “Destiny” can look intense when they’re first applied but they melt easily into the skin (especially on a hydrated base). You can use a brush to apply but I prefer my fingers as I find the warmth really helps to melt colour into the skin for an almost watercolour effect. This shade would be lovely on the eyes and I also use it on the lips. Multi-sticks like this are also great if you aren’t confident with picking colours to put a look together as you can use the same shade on eyes, cheeks and lips for a cohesive look.
