Ritual

For use in the bath or shower – Can be used wet or dry depending on your skin sensitivity and with or without your favourite cleansing product.

• Hold the natural rope hand straps and use gentle sweeping side to side motions
• Be careful not to scrub too hard
• Finish by rinsing skin in lukewarm water

After use, rinse thoroughly with cool water and gently squeeze out all excess water and hang by the cotton rope to dry naturally. Do not bleach, boil or machine wash.

Before Dry Body Brushing please take note of the following precautions:

• Never Skin Brush over-active inflammation e.g. open wounds, inflamed sores, varicose veins, sunburnt skin.
• Never skin brush during an active cancer state or enlarged lymph nodes.
• Avoid breasts and genitalia area.
• If pregnant seek doctors’ advice first before skin brushing.
• If an allergic reaction appears stop brushing. It may be your body detoxing but best to consult your health professional.
• Dry brushing does exfoliate skin, therefore regular washing of brush is essential to remove dead skin from the bristles.
• A slight reddening of the skin (erythema) is normal, it is the blood circulation responding to the skin brushing.

Brush Care:
Many dead skin cells are sloughed off during dry brushing and build up in the brush bristles, so it’s important to clean the brush regularly. Once a week wash in hot soapy water and leave in a well- ventilated area to dry, preferably the sun. Allow the brush bristles to dry completely before using again. Do not leave in a damp area, the bristles will mildew.

You may experience some bristle fall out when first using this brush, this is normal and will stop after the first wash. Overly rough usage of the brush may cause more fall out from bristle damage, so be kind to your brush, they are natural plant bristles.
