Defining Scientifically Proven Skincare

Clinically Proven Skincare there is not one single definition that accurately defines clinically or scientifically proven. Here at The NATIVES Co. we define clinically proven skincare products as natural products that have undergone additional testing, not legally required to prove the efficacy of the product.

Clinically Proven Skincare can be used as a guide for us as consumers to better understand the performance of a product and what results we should expect. Generally, products undergo review by a number of people who have been testing the product under scientific guidelines and controlled measures to determine results. The most reputable clinically proven skincare products have results that are approved by a lab of Cosmetic Science specialists and/or Doctors that advocate the authenticity and legitimacy of these results and claims. These results are often claimed and written as a % of participants outlining the benefits of using the product.

Dermatologically Tested skincare means a qualified Dermatologist has assessed how the skin reacts to the products including its ingredients and has deemed there were no common irritants found to cause sensitivities and allergies on the individuals it was tested on.

Non-comedogenic products are well suited to oily or acne-prone skin. The ingredients in these formulations are typically brimming with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits and readily absorbed by the skin regardless of their texture. These ingredients help to prevent pores and work to support clean and clear skin.

Hypoallergenic products may not be specifically clinically tested but have been specifically formulated with natural ingredients that are suitable and beneficial for sensitive skin or skin types that are prone to skin irritation.
