There is no better time for grown-ups to wear shimmer and a bright lip than the Christmas festive season! So get festive ready with our easy tips for natural to glam makeup looks for the party season.
The way you care for your skin is just as important as the makeup you apply. Good skin preparation is step one in ensuring makeup stays put. For a humidity-proof base start by cleansing the skin, even in the morning. Cleansing gently removes any shedding skin that forms during the cell renewal process overnight, and creates a clean canvas allowing skin to benefit from the actives in your day moisturiser. A multi-taking all in one natural moisturiser that is easily absorbed and helps to defend the skin barrier against pollutants and environmental aggressors is the perfect primer for a lasting base.

Now we have the perfect base as a start. Here’s two of our favourite looks and how we recreate them.
Recreate a feline inspired smokey eye, matched famously through the decades with a sassy nude lip and glowing faux tan. We have a twist on this classic look that is fail-safe, elegant and looks great on everyone.
Start by applying a mid-tone eye shadow all over the lid to create a base layer for the dark and black shade which will define your smokey eye. We like a rich neutral base like the Manasi 7 All Over colour in Manketti. Create a “foundation” covering the eye lid into the crease and blending outwards beginning to create and form the wing on the outer corners. We now have a base to build the smokey eye on. Use the SAINT Eyeshadow Palette in Dusk ‘Til Dawn. It’s an all-in-one compact featuring a five-shade eye palette that has all shades you need to take your look from day to night including the smokey eye.
All Over Colour
Choose the deep pigment rich Hell Have No Fury matt shadow in black as the darkest shade. Starting in the corner of the eye and working outwards, blend the colour halfway up the lid into the lid crease, then apply along the lower lash line and blend out to the outer corner creating the “wing”. In the crease of the eyelid blend a little Beguiling Brown into the darkness of the lid. Add a light beige Dirty Talk to the inner corner of the eye and finish with a sheer sweep of Bite Your Tongue under the brow; keep this subtle as you want the focus to be the dark smouldering lid. SAINT Bite Your Tongue is also available as an individual eye shadow and is a universal beige for both day and night.
Line both the top and bottom lash line with jet black natural eye liner. To intensify, add a layer of wet black eyeshadow with a fine brush and flick the edges of the eye. SAINT eye shadows can be used wet and dry. To complement the sassy smoulder of the eyes, pair with a subtle peachy cheek and contour the forehead and jawline with a little bronzer.

Pat on top of the cheekbone avoiding the under-eye area. We also like to highlight the nose, a subtle small straight line down the nose, can minimize the shape and finish with a tiny hint on the cupid bow on the top of the lip.
