Say “I’ll be ready in 10”…
and mean it!

Forget mastering a winged liner, I believe the one beauty trick we should all have up our sleeves is the 10-minute face. This is an easy routine that in minutes delivers a complete beauty look. Being able to sprint out the door with some resemblance of polish as I drop my keys and spill my coffee, gives me the confidence that although I’m in an absolute flap on the inside, it’s not going show on the outside.
The 10-minute face requires an arsenal of easy-to-apply, multi-benefit and multi-use skincare and makeup products. This is where clean beauty really shines. Because of the focus on formulations, clean products (even makeup) often come packed with skin-loving ingredients and boasting many benefits, making it easier to skip key steps in your regular routine.
I’ve curated my daily cosmetics bag down to just five steps that covers everything from skincare to makeup. This is how I pull myself together when time is not on my side.
STEP 1: Nourish
With minutes to get out the door, my multi-step skincare routine can take a back seat. However, I still want nourishment, moisture and active ingredients on my skin. Am I asking too much? STEP 2: Protect
Rain, hail, shine or short on time, I will never leave the house without applying sunscreen. Then I use the heat in my fingers and palms to press and blend the formula in. STEP 3: Perfect
When I have the time, I will apply a concealer and a foundation. When I’m short on time, I reach for products like Manasi 7 All Over Skin Enhancer, that will correct uneven tone, conceal redness and create a base that still looks like my skin, just better. Use it as a concealer to spot correct, or as a foundation that can be built up to the coverage you like. It has a semi-matt finish which is great for oilier skin types, but I love a radiant look (and my skin is on the drier side), so I blend it with two drops of Venn’s Red Oil before applying. This sheers out the colour and gives a natural, dewy finish, and I get the hydrating and softening benefits of this beautiful, lightweight, non-greasy oil.

Step 4: Colour
So now I need some quick colour to perk up my complexion and draw attention to my features. Swipe it on your cheeks, lips, and eyelids and you have a natural, flattering, monochromatic makeup look that is suitable for any occasion. I glide the stick upwards along my cheekbone and blend in with my fingers, then I use my ring finger to dab the pigment on my lips and eyelids. STEP 5: Lashes
Mascara is like icing on a cake, without it I feel naked. I love fluttery, curled and full lashes, so I always go for a volume-boosting option like SAINT Volumising Mascara.
