The Madame Gabriela Story

A pioneer in clean high performing lipstick, Gabriela couldn’t find 100% clean luxury lip care that exceeded her standards of quality, efficacy, and sustainability.

“In 2017, I met Gabriela in Paris, a long way from our native homes in Sydney and Mexico City. We may have grown up worlds apart but had the same family ethos: lipstick was like bread and milk—an everyday essential. With my family’s clean farms and her penchant for perfect clean colour, it was decided then and there that the search for a new kind of lipstick would begin. Both of us are passionate people and we are thrilled to create a product that is spectacular and also improves lives.”

With transparency as their guide and ‘that perfect kiss colour’ as their vehicle, Gabriela and Geoffrey set out on a multi-year search to challenge the conventional wisdom that the best performing lipstick cannot also be good for you. In 2019, after a two year worldwide search for the right combination of ingredients sourced from the best suppliers in the world, Gabriela’s promise became a reality. The team’s female chemist achieved a clean beauty coup d’etat: Manuka honey rich goodness synthesised with a tsunami of clean ingredients. The result, an ultra-hydrating lipstick collection powered by active botanicals and Manuka Honey, delivering flawless colour and advanced lip care.

Madame Gabriela sidestepped typical manufacturing practices, crafting their lipsticks completely from scratch in California, curating only the finest earth-growth ingredients available. The formula was obsessively tested and retested until it was flawlessly non-toxic, striking in colour and exceedingly superior in performance.

3 perfect colours and a powerhouse of nourishing organic and non-toxic ingredients including organic and antibacterial UMF 15+ Manuka honey, organic Avocado Oil, organic Shea Butter, organic Chamomile and Bergamot.

Produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the Manuka bush, Manuka honey is widely regarded as the most beneficial form of honey in the world, which is why it is one of Madame Gabriela’s key ingredients. Selected and then hand delivered from their family of farms to their lab on other side of the world in California, the certified organic honey has a Unique Manuka Factor (UMF) rating of 15+, meaning the level of anti-bacterial goodness is sky-high. It’s 100% packed full of goodness, including a high concentration of methylglyoxal, which gives it powerful antibiotic and antibacterial properties.

Madame Gabriela Beauty lipstick tubing and packaging is almost entirely plastic free, crafted from recycled aluminium.

All packaging and shipping boxes are made by a green-certified team specialising in design and production that reduce environmental impact, using vegetable based inks, recyclable water base coatings, and optimum package design to reduce paperboard waste and reduce forestry burdening.
