AGONIST was founded by the creative couple Christine and Niclas Lydeen. Christine has a background in fashion and studied at Studio Bercot in Paris, where due to her French roots she lived and worked before moving back to Sweden. Here she met Niclas, an Art Director and visual artist, together they realized their dream of working artistically with fragrance. Their goal was to create unique perfume fragrances that sent people off on an exhilarating, emotional journey with a distinct focus on details, artistic expression and sustainability.

In close collaboration with prominent perfumers, AGONIST unique Eau de Parfums are created according to the traditional art of fine perfumery exclusively developed with environmental respect and a sustainable approach to the use of raw materials.

AGONIST Artistic Vision

With an ambition to express scent in different media and raw material AGONIST creates unique limited-edition hand-blown glass bottles to house the captivating fragrances.

Favouring a transparent, inclusive approach and believing “that scent goes beyond gender”,  AGONIST perfumes are unisex and universal. A perfect example of Agonist’s transparent approach to their craft is their practice of printing the ingredients of each scent on the bottle for everyone to see. “Printing the recipes on the bottle lets people know how our scents are created, and this makes them feel part of the process,” explains Christine.

Containing 30% fragrance, AGONIST perfumes last the longest, up to 14 hours. They contain less alcohol and are better for sensitive skin.
