In the past, older women have been advised to avoid powder foundations. Formulations were powdery, cakey and talc often was used to bulk up the products. The beautiful ingredients used in creating this foundation work beautifully on mature skin.

Zinc Oxide is a safe and natural mineral ingredient. It soothes irritated skin while providing pigment-rich colour that helps protect cells from environmental stressors and damage. Although not an alternative to sunscreen it does provide a natural physical layer of defence from daily aggressors including harmful UV rays.

Titanium Dioxide: A safe and gentle ingredient, titanium dioxide is excellent for use under mature eyes, acting to lighten the dark circles under the eyes which one reason it is so effective in powder foundation. Further, it helps to protect the skin from UVA and UVB rays and is particularly good for skin prone to sensitivity and redness or after cosmetic procedures.

Rice Powder has been in cosmetics for many years and is known for its oil-absorbing properties. It also gives our foundation a silky finish, long-wear and provides a satin/matte finish. It works wonders to visibly minimise pores, soften fine lines and reduce the frequency of blackheads and acne.

Magnesium Myristate is a mixture of the mineral magnesium and the fatty acid myristate. It acts to absorb oil in the skin and has properties which repel water while adding a velvety softness to the touch and staying power. It has beneficial antibacterial properties.
