Barely-There Makeup using Natural Mineral Powder

Ash Quinn How to Guide:

Barely-There Makeup Look

with Natural Mineral Powder x BB Cream Hack

There’s nothing I love more than multi-use products and products that you can customise so in todays video I’ll take you through a super easy, barely there makeup look including how to turn your powder foundation into a BB cream or higher coverage liquid foundation. Let’s go through some of the finer details about each of the products.

Customise Your Base

AU NATURALE Semi-matte Powder Foundation is a versatile product. You can use this powder foundation on its own or you can create your own custom BB cream or liquid foundation by mixing in your favourite skincare.

The powder foundation solo is great if you love a more matte look that is super lightweight on the skin. It’s suitable for all skin types, especially those with oily, sensitive or acne prone skins. But don’t worry, if you’re on the dry side this won’t dry you out further. It’s also worth noting, if you have a more mature skin type this foundation will work particular well for you as it’s not cakey and won’t accentuate lines while covering red thread veins, capillaries and mild rosacea.

Create Your Own BB Cream or Liquid Foundation

If you’re wanting a more dewy look on a particular day or you’re simply wanting to change it up while boosting the skincare benefits, you can create your own BB cream or liquid foundation by mixing AU Naturale Powder Foundation with your favourite skincare.

In the video I use the gorgeous  FLOWER & SPICE Midnight Beauty Rich Revitalising Serum. It’s heroes are Rose and Coriander mixed with a powerful combination of nature’s 10 most effective, super-charged plant oils to deeply penetrate, nourish and protect your skin, working with your body’s natural rhythms to brighten, improve fine lines and wrinkles and replenish skin’s moisture balance. For a BB level of coverage add a small amount of powder foundation to the serum, if you’d like more coverage increase the ratio of powder to serum. It’s completely up to you!

Add Colour and Glow

For a bit of  highlight on the eyes and cheeks I used the AU NATURALE Pure Powder Highlighter in the shade “Bergonia” . This product has a pink undertone with a golden glow so it’s very flattering as an eyeshadow as well.

If you’d like a wash of colour, use a fluffier brush and if you’d like the colour to be more intense choose a more dense brush. It can also be layered for more colour payoff. To use as a highlight, dust along the tops of the cheekbones on the highest points where the light would naturally catch it. This will help to add dimension and give the appearance of higher cheekbones. I finished off the eyes with a lick of the AU NATURALE Bold Statement Vegan Mascara.

Subtle Lips

To keep the look minimal I chose the AU NATURAL High Lustre Lip Gloss in the shade “Magnolia” to give some shine and a hint of subtle colour to help tie the look together.

This gloss is 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free. Formulated with Jojoba, Caster, Camellia and Sunflower seed oils along with Vitamin E it provides moisture to the lips and can also be layered over any lipsticks already in your collection.

So there you have it. An everyday natural makeup look that also provides some serious skincare benefits while you wear it! Enjoy Ash xx
