Ritual

100% Natural Bristle- use as a dry body brush or wet in the shower:

  1. Begin at your feet and brush upwards towards your heart
  2. Use sweeping motions whilst applying light pressure - repeat light strokes up to 7 times and adjust pressure to your comfort levels.
  3. Use small circular motions on the abdomen and chest
  4. Always be careful not to scrub the skin
  5. Finish by rinsing skin with lukewarm water

Natural wooden nodules on a rubber cushion base for anti-cellulite massage:
Use wide circular motions firmly across affected areas for 5-15 minutes (daily for best results) to help reduce the ‘orange peel’ effect. Can be used in combination with body oil or anti-cellulite cream.

Before Dry Body Brushing please take note of the following precautions:

  • Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Never Skin Brush over-active inflammation e.g. open wounds, inflamed sores, varicose veins, sunburnt skin.
  • Never skin brush during an active cancer state or enlarged lymph nodes.
  • Avoid breasts and genitalia area.
  • If pregnant seek doctors’ advice first before skin brushing.
  • If an allergic reaction appears stop brushing. It may be your body detoxing but best to consult your health professional.
  • Dry brushing does exfoliate skin, therefore regular washing of brush is essential to remove dead skin from the bristles.
  • A slight reddening of the skin (erythema) is normal, it is the blood circulation responding to the skin brushing.

Brush Care:
Many dead skin cells are sloughed off during dry brushing and build up in the brush bristles, so it’s important to clean the brush regularly. After each use, tap the brush to remove dead skin debris.

If used wet in the shower, drain excess water after use and place bristles down to dry thoroughly away from moisture.

Hand wash the bristles occasionally in warm soapy water, we recommend using a natural Tea Tree Soap. Rinse well and hang by the hanging loop or air dry with the bristles facing down on a dry surface. Allow the brush bristles to dry completely before using again. Do not leave in a damp area.
