Ritual

Use on dry skin before showering:

  1. Begin at your feet and brush upwards towards your heart
  2. Use sweeping motions whilst applying light pressure - repeat light strokes up to 7 times and adjust pressure to your comfort levels.
  3. Use small circular motions on the abdomen and chest
  4. Always be careful not to scrub the skin
  5. Finish by rinsing skin with lukewarm water

Before Dry Body Brushing please take note of the following precautions:

  • Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Never Skin Brush over-active inflammation e.g. open wounds, inflamed sores, varicose veins, sunburnt skin.
  • Never skin brush during an active cancer state or enlarged lymph nodes.
  • Avoid breasts & genitalia area.
  • If pregnant seek doctors’ advice first before skin brushing.
  • If an allergic reaction appears stop brushing. It may be your body detoxing but best to consult your health professional.
  • Dry brushing does exfoliate skin, therefore regular washing of brush is essential to remove dead skin from the bristles.
  • A slight reddening of the skin (erythema) is normal, it is the blood circulation responding to the skin brushing.

Brush Care:

Many dead skin cells are sloughed off during dry brushing and build up in the brush bristles, so it’s important to clean the brush regularly. After each use, tap the brush to remove dead skin debris.

Hand wash the bristles occasionally in warm soapy water, we recommend using a natural Tea Tree Soap. Rinse well and hang by the hanging loop or air dry with the bristles facing down on a dry surface. Allow the brush bristles to dry completely before using again. Do not leave in a damp area, the bristles will mildew. The timber base is not treated and in its natural state, it is best to avoid over wetting the timber during washing and just wet the bristles.

Natural Materials

Sustainably sourced materials and ethical manufacturing practices.

FSC® Certified Beechwood is a sustainable and renewable high-quality wood. Renowned for its strength and durability, Beechwood helps maximise the life of your dry body brush.

Mexican Tampico cactus fibre is extracted from the leaves of certain species of Agave (Agaves Sisalana, Agave Foreyodes), which grows in sub-tropical regions around the world. Gathered with minimal environmental impact, ripe leaves are carefully harvested by hand with a focus on plant regeneration to maximise plant life. The coarse fibre is extracted from the leaves to produce a stiff, yet durable, non-static fibre.

Composition:

  • Bristle - 100% natural cactus
  • Base - 100% FSC® Certified Beechwood
